We know risk assessments - we carry out thousands every year!

Hazards and risks in the workplace can cause accidents, injury and ill-health. They may also lead to fines, court action and bad publicity - distractions all businesses can do without, especially in the current economic climate.
Safety is the Key undertakes workplace risk assessments for all types of self-employed and small to medium businesses. The assessments can be a great tool to help prevent accidents and also as evidence to inspectors that you have carried out your duties.

It is a legal requirement for ALL businesses to undertake a Risk Assessment and record all significant risks. Insurance companies may request this document if you proceed with a relevant claim.
The basic Certificated Risk Assessment Training we provide will help all employees carry out risk assessments and improve health and safety throughout the whole organisation. We also provide certificated training in other subjects such as: computer safety; manual handling safety; chemical safety; electrical safety; fire safety etc. Email us for further information.
We are happy to help de-mystify these simple regulations to help ensure you and your business does the most to comply with your legal duties.

Do you work in the theatre industry?

The Theatre Advisory Group (TAG) within the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health has made available a free online guide for those working on the design and manufacture of theatrical sets.
It’s aimed at directors, producers, set designers. and covers each stage of building a theatrical set.
The guide was devised after TAG members realised that despite the risks of machinery developed for on-set use, there was no guide for managing those risks.
