Safety is the Key.
Simple. Sensible. Safety.
The HSE Inspectors now charge £129 per hour for 'material breaches' of regulations they find on your site.
That means if you have a 15 minute tea and biscuit break during their visit, it will cost you over £32 plus VAT!
As an example of what they find wrong, here
are the results of a recent operation in London:
A day-long inspection initiative by HSE saw a small team of Inspectors visit 22 construction sites across
North Hackney and South Tottenham, Haringey.
Enforcement action had to be taken at nine
of those sites, with six Prohibition Notices served requiring dangerous
practices to stop immediately, and six Improvement Notices served requiring
safety improvements to be made.
One site was completely closed down due to
exceptionally hazardous conditions.
Common issues found during the inspections
precautions were missing, such as edge protection to prevent falls from height.

We are often called in after Inspectors have visited (either Fire, HSE, Local Authority or Insurance Inspectors) and can help you in many ways to satisfy their requests.
You may have received (or be receiving) a visit from the Inspector for a variety of reasons such as: a complaint; an accident or just the regular planned inspection.
We undertake on-site visits at your convenience and the visit includes essential health and safety advice and information, as well as Certificated Training. We can even provide individual forms to help you satisfy Local Authority Inspectors and make compliance with Regulations as straight-forward as possible.
We have seen numerous REAL Enforcement Notices issued by Inspectors and are able to help you get out of any difficulties.
